Plastic bin rental in Dallas–Fort Worth
Looking to rent plastic bins for moving in DFW? STORVA's plastic bin rental replaces cardboard with heavy-duty 27-gallon bins — black, with yellow snap-on lids — dropped off empty at your door and picked up empty when you're done. This guide explains how bin rental works, who it suits, and how to decide how many bins you need.
What 'plastic bin rental' means
People call them bins, totes, crates or plastic moving boxes. The idea is the same: instead of buying cardboard you'll throw away, you rent sturdy, reusable plastic containers for the length of your move or project, then hand them back. With STORVA, the bins are 27-gallon totes that close with a snap-on lid and stack neatly when full.
Bin rental suits apartment moves, house moves, office moves and short home projects where you need sturdy containers for a few weeks.
Why rent plastic bins for moving
- Nothing to assemble or tape — bins arrive ready to fill.
- Every bin is the same size, so stacks are even in a truck and on a dolly.
- Rigid sides don't crush under weight the way soft cardboard can.
- Lids keep dust and light rain out between the door and the truck.
- No cardboard pile to break down and recycle afterward.
When bins aren't the best fit
Bins are a fixed size and rented for a set period. Large flat items like mirrors and art need their own wrapping, and if you want containers to keep indefinitely, buying makes more sense. If you can't unpack before your pickup date, plan an extension or choose a longer package.
How many bins do you need?
It depends on how much you own more than on square footage — a full kitchen or a big book collection uses more bins than a sparse bedroom. Start with the package for your home size, then use the tote calculator to adjust room by room.
Bins with dollies
Rolling a stack of bins beats carrying them one at a time. The 1 Bedroom package and larger include black 4-wheel dollies, and extra dollies are $9 each.
Bin rental across DFW
We drop off and pick up across our Dallas–Fort Worth service area. Drop-off and pickup can be at different addresses as long as both are in the service area — handy when you're moving between cities.
Getting the most from rented bins
Pack one room at a time and finish it before starting the next, so bins don't end up half-full and mixed. Label the end and lid of each bin with the destination room and a priority number, using removable labels or painter's tape. Stage full bins near the door with the heaviest on the bottom of each stack.
After the move, unpack priority bins first — kitchen basics, bathroom and bedding — then work through the rest. Stack the empties by the door before your pickup date so collection takes a couple of minutes. If unpacking is taking longer than planned, contact us before your pickup date about extending.
